The geese are all along the river. We see them all the time, they gather up their babies and head for the water if you stop too long, but we see them on the lawns feeding. These are getting a little older. The baby goose swimming in the bottom photo was pretty young.






All along the river they have put water fowl nests to protect the geese eggs and their babies. When the babies are big enough they kick them out of the nest, and they can't get back in. The water looks really dirty in the photo but it is really a flower called American Lotus which is a water lilly. These were taken a few weeks ago and they were just beginning to grow. Now they are a lot bigger. Usually the water is only about 18 inches where the flower grows.
