This is Joseph Smith. At the end when all of the cast is on stage. He and Hyrum and others who have passed away are there. The final scene all are in white or pastel color. The stage is just below the Nauvoo Temple and at the end the temple is in the spotlight just above the stage. It takes your breath away.
Parley P. Pratt tells the story of the Pioneers who were here.
This is Joseph telling the children about seeing Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.
The families are all dressed in period clothing with their hair up in braids just like the pioneer children wore theirs. It is so fun to see them running around before the pageant, you really feel like you are back in the 1840's
In this number
This is Joseph and Emma. They are a couple who are married and play the parts so well.
This is Parley P. Pratt. He tells the story and is amazing.
We went the to the pageant on Thursday night with friends, Paul & Marsha. We thought we would melt before it was over. It was probably the hottest night and the bugs were so bad that in the spot lights they looked like rain. (A heavy rain) We don't know how they did the pageant.
Families come for two weeks. There are three casts of families and one core cast. The first week the families are here, they practice and the second week they perform. While they are performing another cast is practicing and getting ready to go on stage the next week. It all works out beautifully.
